Re: Problems on cloud fields

Good Morning (Here), After being prompted & prodded to look into the cloud cover issues again, I did some additional investigating. As for the line running through the domain, I was not able to replicate the error but in looking at the code I did find a potential bug that could explain the line depi...

Re: Child domain blocking

Greetings Vongrads, I don't quite see the problem from your images; however, I have an idea of what you are describing. I would like to get a better understanding of your problem so can you send me the namelist files from your static directory and any other information you care to provide. I will al...

Re: metgrid problem (stall)

Greetings Antonix, I am aware of this problem as others have reported it, although I have only been able to replicate it recently. It appears that the problem lies in metgrid. Specifically, MPI_Finalize is being called before all the communication has completed. This issue has appeared in EMS V3.2 b...

Re: GFS grib download from soostrc.comet.ucar.edu

Greetings dolesi_beni, Could you please elaborate on this "awesome" outcome? What are the errors that you are seeing? based upon the arguments that you passed to the ems_install.pl routine, you are requesting that the EMS be downloaded from the soostrc servers and installed. Is that what you wanted?...

Re: GFS grib download from soostrc.comet.ucar.edu

In the ems_install.pl routine you will find that 128.117.110.214 is hardcoded; however, I have since updated the soostrc server and the IP has changed. You can simply replace the IP with "soostrc.comet.ucar.edu" and all should be well. Robert Guys, I am not very familiar with Linux but through trial...

Re: GFS grib download from soostrc.comet.ucar.edu

Hello All, Last week we moved our offices into another building. During that time the soostrc machine was brought down for the move, and while we were at it, update the OS since it was rather old and the IT security would no longer allow the machine on UCAR's network. Unfortunately, there was a driv...

A reminder when contacting Robert for EMS support

Greetings All, First, let me say thank you to the person or persons responsible for starting and maintaining this forum. Resources such as this one relieve me of some of my "unofficial" support activities, which results in fewer direct requests and shorter delays in my response times. I greatly appr...
