Re: "The mandatory field TT was not found in any input data."

Your input files are missing some required data.

In order someone can help you, please give as much information as you can about what data you use and other possible relevant information.

Re: Active nmm

Are there NMM binaries at all? As far as I know there is only ARW real and wrf exe. So even if you create domain (which you should be able manually editing namelist.wps and running geogrid binary from command line), then you face 2 bigger problems. You don't have NMM executables AND whole UEMS does ...

Re: acquiring boundary conditions file.

It is enough to batch rename all files to the same naming schema if they are obtained from different sources and used in the same run. I also think that even different grid distance should not be problem for metgrid to work, however different number of vertical levels would. But I think that EMS inc...

@norulz :
are you tracking the "Medicane" case ? If yes it would be interesting if you could share what you have got as a comparison between WRF and observation !
For me, it is too far to the east to track it...

Re: How to improve convection triggering?

I tried to find some useful information about RH based KF trigger (3) but there is almost nothing available. However I gave it a shot and it does look good on first glance. MSKF seems drier yes. But I don't think that convection parametrization is main problem because in certain situations that I me...

Re: UEMS system signal 4. CPU not supported

Hi,

There are three ways to resolve it:

1) Ask Robert Rozumalski to compile wrf binaries for your version of CPU (that should be first try).
2) Compile wrf code yourself.
3) Upgrade hardware to newer CPU generation.

I don't think there is 4th option...

Re: One month simulation

Hello, ... And got some hourly CALMET results that compared with the observations at an airport do not have too much to do with :) If this: I have set up three nested domains because I want to produce a 50x50 output means that your domain size is 50x50 points, this is most likely the cause. Refer to...

Re: One month simulation

Hello,

Yes it is OK to do it as a single run, but feed it with frequent boundary conditions updates.

Re: Lightning from WRF

I don't think about this as something useful. It requires fixed time step AND cu_physics = 5. And then you get pretty much same areas as high radar reflectivity and/or high updraft areas, because those schemes use that parameters to forecast lightning. I don't think it is worth it. Just use reflecti...
