Re: UEMS system signal 4. CPU not supported

Hi,

There are three ways to resolve it:

1) Ask Robert Rozumalski to compile wrf binaries for your version of CPU (that should be first try).
2) Compile wrf code yourself.
3) Upgrade hardware to newer CPU generation.

I don't think there is 4th option...

Re: One month simulation

Hello, ... And got some hourly CALMET results that compared with the observations at an airport do not have too much to do with :) If this: I have set up three nested domains because I want to produce a 50x50 output means that your domain size is 50x50 points, this is most likely the cause. Refer to...

Re: One month simulation

Hello,

Yes it is OK to do it as a single run, but feed it with frequent boundary conditions updates.

Re: Lightning from WRF

I don't think about this as something useful. It requires fixed time step AND cu_physics = 5. And then you get pretty much same areas as high radar reflectivity and/or high updraft areas, because those schemes use that parameters to forecast lightning. I don't think it is worth it. Just use reflecti...

Re: UEMS system signal 4. CPU not supported

There are three options basically:
1) HTTP: http://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/gfs/prod/
2) NOMADS grib filter: http://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/fil ... p25_1hr.pl
3) STRC ptiles

I don't use sst, no idea.

Re: MAP SAVE ERROR

Hello It is not easy to guess what's wrong. This does not look good: The dir ./uems/data/tables/vtables (containing vtable) is NOT found That path should not look like that I think. Not sure though. Please answer on these questions so we might get your situation better: 1) Is your username richard? ...

Lightning from WRF

Hello, Does anyone know what are all requirements to meet in order to have lightning data in gribs apart from microphysics scheme turned on (does any work?), do_radar_ref=1 and lightning_option=1, also in wrf_cntrl.parm: (LIGHTNING ) SCAL=( 3.0) L=(10000 00000 00000 00000 00000 00000 00000 00000 000...

Re: UEMS system signal 4. CPU not supported

Thanks Meteoadriatic for the advice. But, you're NOT using EMS or UEMS. Instead, you build your own binaries from the standard package and write your own scripts to run the full process. I'm right?? Well, I can build all binaries from the original WRF package, but I have no idea of how to write the...
