a) crash of real.exe, or
b) taking 80m parameters instead of 2m for surface fields
This issue does apply to all users who use FULL GFS set, however, as most of you who use gfsptiles also have gfs as fallback option in case gfsptiles aren't available, all of you should install this patch now!

Greetings All - I have fixed the problem leading to poor low-level temperature and wind initialization when using the FULL GFS data set, which was related to the addition of 80 and 100m AGL fields to the GRIB files following the recent update. I won't bore you with the details. Correcting this problem requires you to update the "bin/ungrib" routine on your system - yet again.
