Stupid idea, but try to name your domain with more than one character (i). I doubt that will help but with this little information I cannot guess anything better.

Hi Antonix
I usually set the name of my domains with only one letter and dwiz works correctly.
Two years ago I tried to install WRF/EMS on Ubuntu and I had the same problem.
Probably the reason is about that Ubuntu uses "dash" instead "bash".
There is a procedure to solve the problem:
Open a terminal and type : sudo rm /bin/sh
then type: ln -l /bin/bash /bin/sh

Then retry to run dwiz.

I suggest you to change Ubuntu with another Linux release if you intend to use WRF-EMS.
Good luck
Rodi

Hello!
Hi meteoadriatic I always called domains with a single letter!
Ubuntu is true for many problems ...
but I use my PC for other things
1) oceanographic modeling
2) matlab
3) etc.

youtube videos
and home use!
distribution that you advise me?? ;-)
Fedora and CentOS have many problems with mp3 files and videos on youtube and various;-)

What error gives ems_domain.pl script if you tried it instead of dwiz?

Do you have unwriteable permissions here?

Code: Select all

NMM/wrfems/runs/i/log/

I have the same error than Antonix... I tried to run wrfems 3.2 on a 24 CPU computer, with Ubuntu 10.04.

Any idea?
