WRF EMS v3 and CUDA

Forum dedicated to older versions of EMS package (WRFEMS v3.2, v3.1 or older). Support is user-to-user based, so please help others if you can.

Does v3 support CUDA for high speed calculation?

I asked Bob the same questions after returning from the Super Computing conference in Portland, OR. Version 3 of the "full" WRF comes with a CUDA capable WSM5 microphysics scheme (and perhaps others?). His reply was that the CUDA code is in the WRFEMS, but it was not compiled to take advantage of it. You could compile the full version of the WRFV3 with the CUDA code enabled...

provided that you (from Bob):

1. Have the required compilers
2. Compile all the requisite libraries needed for linking
3. Install the EMS-modified WRF routines
4. Use the correct Registry files
