
I'm trying to use for the first time the ARW core, because i would try to do some testing with WRFDA 3DVAR as suggested by Boogie.
I also tried with GSI (for the NMM core) but at the moment gsi.exe compiled does not work and it goes into segmentation fault....and I do not understand why...

I then compiled WRF ARW 3.5 with the intel compiler and MPICH2.
The program runs smoothly and i can post-processing the files with Grads (ctl, idx, etc.).
I have the problem that cudt in namelist.input remained fixed on the value of cudt=12 while varying the value from the file physics.conf

Have any of you had this problem ?
Then in the file run_main.pm in the "physics namelist section for arw core" i adds $EMSrun{WRFNL}{PHYSICS}{cudt}[0] = 5; and seems to be solved.
Using the adaptive time step, from the file rsl.out.0000 i see that time step reaches values of dt = 185!

Furthermore I do not see calls to the cumulus scheme, which in rsl.out.0000 NMM are obvious.
Can anyone confirm that everything is fine?
