Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is the best forum to place this question, but I'd like to know which OS are you using to run WRF-UEMS. Currently, I'm running WRF-UEMS over CentOS 6 (kernel 2.6.X) but I must do a fresh installation next week and I'm wondering which might be the best OS right now. I've seen some Linux dustributions run over a kernel 4.X and CentOS7 run over kernel 3.X. Is there any advantage in using the newer kernels?
Best,
Luis

Re: OS and new kernels
In my opinion there is no single difference between OS/kernel. Of course, on some OS installations some prerequisites might be missing, or UEMS installation script might fail to set everything up correctly; but when you make it running, if it is 64bit system, I don't think there will be any difference anymore.

Thanks Meteoadriatic.
I've just was worried to use a too old distribution (because of the kernel), but it seems I'll keep CentOS 6 as the main distro.
