High resolution SST data?

Good morning, The manual still suggests options ssthires and sstlowres but these files appear to not be reflected in gribinfo folder in the very latest download, I have had to do a full re-install of the operating system over the last few days and have installed the very latest UEMS. Any idea if the...

Re: nomads gfs file changes pgrb2 data help

Found the change! In DATADIR the forecast run datetime and cc (start of run time) example 2019061300 becomes 20190613/00. Just have to add in the slash in the runscript.

nomads gfs file changes pgrb2 data help

Hi All, I use a script that I got from another user here long ago which downloads and combines gfs pgrb2 and pgrb2b files over a limited area for the office so that we have a full gfs for 120 hours to use for the region (not full global) that has limited file size for quick and easier downloads. Fro...

Since failover/backup testing 31st Jan gfs .25 a and b ptile very slow

Hi All, Since NCEP's failover/backup test on the 31st of Jan, my download of the .25deg ptile "a" and "b" files have been very slow. After the 00Z gfs F00, it took an hour this morning for the F03 file to come in, then the rest came in fairly ok after that. Has anyone else experienced this? Best reg...

Re: download of gfs .25 a and b failing

Hi Oib,

The gfs files have been coming in, but it is terribly slow, the first forecast file F03 takes about an hour before it is in, then the rest seem to come in ok'ish. Are you also experiencing this?

Best regards,
Theo

download of gfs .25 a and b failing

Hi all, I have been using a script from one of the users in order to download the gfs .25 a and b files, then combining them, to have a smaller area download for our office use of .25 degree gfs. Since yesterday, this is not working anymore. Below is a sample of the script which fetches from nomads....
