Re: Vertical levels in WRF EMS

Hi, in EMS there is file run_levels.conf where you can read about how to define exact levels heights if you want. If you don't define, program real will distribute them automatically.

If EMS is not used, namelist entry for that option is eta_levels.

Re: Running ems_run in PBS? And ems_post with WRFv3.9.1

Also, can you use ems_post with traditional WRFv3.9.1 (wrf.exe) output or does it have to be output from ems_run? If nothing changed in a while, then no. As far as I know emsupp is modified version that is compatible with ems wrf wrfout files. Anyway it is easy to try, just replace wrfout created b...

Re: Change the value based on the graphic scale

You need to use maskout function. First, set color, then draw all numeric values that are under certain limit using first maskout function. After that, set different color and draw all numeric values that are over same limit, using second maskout function. http://cola.gmu.edu/grads/gadoc/gradfuncmas...

Re: rrtm TBOUND exceeded

If model runs there is no need to fix and you can't if you use RRTM. Surface skin temperature is simply too high for it's lookup table. Nothing bad should happen from that.

If you really want to avoid it, you need to use different radiation scheme (new goddard, rrtmg, ...)

Re: time running backwards

Read run_dfi.conf there should be information about it and when it runs backward and for how many minutes. Lot of that is configurable.

Re: Back to UEMS. Old problems

Workaround is probably using procedure described in Chapter 5.4:

Re: Dwiz window doesn't appear

Check if your java installation is fine. I can't help much more than that.

If you do not succeed running dwiz, check Chapter 5.4 here:
