Re: CPU Intel gold series: bad performance for UEMS

CPUbenchmark favors dual Xeon E5-2660v4 system a bit so it is expected but difference looks too much.

How many threads did you used on dual Xeon gold 6130? 32 cores stinks to me little bit :)

Re: EMS servers - connection problem

It is unfortunate that intel binaries are not built statically.

Re: hrrr

Yes, i didn't saw your post about Europe. As Canuck64 explained above, HRRR is North America dataset and you are trying to use it for Europen area. That is the problem. In Europe, only GFS works with EMS.

Re: convert grads grib2 to netcdf

Well I see several options. Most probably easiest one is to adapt your postprocessing tools to use grib2 output instead of netcdf. If that is not possible, there are at least two more to try: a) Easy approach, convert grib to netcdf if it works (not tried): https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/grib...

Re: convert grads grib2 to netcdf

wrfout file is already in netcdf format by default, if you didn't requested differently. The namelist entry that controls this is io_form_history with setting = 2 for NETCDF format and it is default.

Re: hrrr

OK. Can we see screenshot of your domain (if you use Domain Wizard), or namelist.wps file contents (if you use any other tool to make domain)?

Re: hrrr

That dataset does not cover your whole domain. Dataset that you want to use has to cover whole domain area or run can't be initialized. Either reduce domain area to fit within hrrr data, or use different dataset.
