Re: Back to UEMS. Old problems

The problem seems that it doesn't find the GEOGRID:TBL file. Is not copied automatically.

Copy the file to the directory or make sure is correctly linked in

/<your path>/uems/data/tables/wps/

FNL and soil levels

I am using local FNL data for a run. First step is ems_prep --dset fnl --analysis --local --cycle 00 --date 20180317 --domains 4 --length 216 which seems to work. interestingly in wrfprd only the 1st met_em is created for the subdomains, which might be a problem -rw-r--r-- 1 wrf wrf 78M jun 28 13:17...

Re: Problem linking local files

Thanks to Nicolas Sepulveda, a student in Geophysics, for the solution. The --analysis flag was missing.

This seems to work

ems_prep --dset fnl --analysis --local --cycle 00 --date 20180317 --domains 4 --length 216

Problem linking local files

I am doing a short run using FNL files downloaded to a local directory by using ems_autorun --dset fnl:nfs:local --noscour --cycle 00 --date 20180317 --domains 4 --length 216 (somehow UEMS can't download the FNL files directly) The problem is that only the very first file is linked as GRIBFILE.AAA, ...

Re: Added bash script?

Hi Luis,

I am doing that now. But the finishing time of the forecast changes a bit. How can I run the next script right after the autorun?

Using variable SST (historical simulations)

Hi all, Is not clear to me how to add variable SST in UEMS. I've changed SST_UPDATE to 1 in conf/ems_run/run_physics_sealakes.conf and use the --sfrc rtgsstpt option, but ems_prep shows Static Surface Datasets | RTGSSTPT (Mon Apr 30 00:00:00 2018 UTC) as if I wanted to use a constant SST for the who...

Re: python routines for UEMS

I agree. Grads has a long story of development. It is more of a personal choice, the use of python, as it helps me to use output file from other (ocean) models whose output is in NetCDF.
