Lake fluxes question
I am trying to find a way to get output for latent and sensible heat fluxes dervied from the model. I cannot find anywhere to set lake fluxes as an output grid. Has anyone had experience generating latent/sensible heat flux output? Thanks.

Is there easy way to make duplicate of a domain
Hi, I know this is a pretty basic question, but cannot figure out a solution. I want to have a duplicate of a domain I created. I see in another thread of this forum there is a recommendation to do: ems_domain --create domain_name then copy namelist.wps from the original domain to the new domain the...

Re: Cannot localize
Same issue here, tried to reinstall and lost all my old domains, but that did not even fix the problem outlined with the unable to locate geo files. My kernel just updated also, and has not worked since. I am not a fan of linux updates when everything is working fine ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Was really div...

Does NetCDF manipulation software exist
I am trying to view the .nc files produced in the wpsprd directory (the met .nc files). I know of software that allows you to view these files, but does such third party software exist that will let you graphically manipulate the data , and save this manipulated data into a new netcdf value. I suspe...

Great Lakes Sensitivity Runs - SST
I am assuming the answer on this is no, or if yes, a very complicated solution. Is it possible to create a custom Lake Michigan/Lake Superior water temperature initialization or adjust values from a pre-existing initialization. Thanks for any help

namnestpt question
Hi, I was hoping to experiment with simulations utilizing the namnest personal tiles for targeted 24 to 48 hour simulations. When I do ems_prep --dslist it appears that the personal tile data sets should be available to that forecast distance, but when running ems_prep it looks like all 3 ems server...

Using ECMWF operational analyses
Has anyone had success using the higher res operational EC analyses identified on NCAR RDA as ds 113.1 https://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds113.1/ I think I have gotten to the point where I can get ERA5 to work, but I notice that the EC operational analyses are produced at a higher resolution so I wanted...

UEMS 2m temps - cold season
I am not sure if it is because I am following closer since running a local model, but the struggle with 2 meter temperatures has really stood out to me this winter. The nighttime temperatures appear to be much too cold over snow cover, sometimes as much as 8 to 12 degrees just a few hours into a sim...

You did not ever figure out the problem here did you, I am suddenly getting this error with one of my domains and not other one!
