Re: ems_run execution time extremely variable

Hello guys, I have tried with or without numad, but I found that numad slows down the run. Anyway, on my system it was deactivated by default. So I just step back to the "standard" service configuration by switching it off. I have also seen that at the beginning of the run (without numad), sometimes...

Re: Unrealistic Snow cover on ground for GFS

Hello alfe, I am using 45 vertical levels I was thinking about something quite odd. I have recently tried with 71 levels (DX = 3km), but I got very cold local temperatures, like a cold droplet inside a warmer field. Then, I have tried with 61 levels and it was much better.... But if you say that yo...

I propose to open a specific discussion on this post, to avoid interferences with another subject. This is an important matter an...

Re: parameter maximum wind gust

I think that everybody has its own solution. I plot the wind speed from a hybrid level, approximately at a constant height above ground. I have chosen a level giving approximately 100 m above ground.

unbelievable snow cover !

Hello, I think something is not going well... I did not try to look at this parameter before, and I wish not to have seen it.... Because this is quite mad. The snow cover %, is increasing for the next 48h on my domain although there is no precipitation at all. Moreover, temperature are positive and ...

Re: OpenMeteoData - Free weather data for everyone - Joins us!

I offer joining in a single big run.
Ok, but if so, everybody being involved should participate to the parametrization (domains, physics...)

Re: OpenMeteoData - Free weather data for everyone - Joins us!

Hello,
I did not understand whether you provide CPU/data access for everybody's own WRF / EMS WRF run or a unique weather forecast run by the members of your association.
