Precipitation categorization from model output data

Hello, I'm developing a small weather website and I need to display weather icons from wrf-ems output. So, how would be the best solution to categorize precipitation (rain, sleet, snow, ...) with wrf-ems output data ? Is there an approximate formula for doing that ? Should I use wrf-ems precipitatio...

Which OVH (So you Start) server ?

Hello,

I have to change my server for running wrf-ems 3.4. So, I have choice between those servers : http://www.soyoustart.com/fr/offres.xml

Which one do you think is the best to run a simulation with nmm core ?

Thank you in advance,
Vince

Re: nests domain

You can edit your ems_autorun.conf file and define in section 6 :
DOMAINS = 1,2

To run parent (1) and nested (2) domain automatically.

Re: nests domain

Hello, You have to use "--domains 2" (if nested is number 2) option when you process the model output files : ems_post --domains 2 But you can do it automaticaly by configurating your "ems_autorun.conf" domain file. Check the variable "EMSPOST", all is well explicated. For example if you want output...

Re: extract data from wrf-ems for weather forecast

Yes, you can adapt the script by changing lines :

Code: Select all

for($i = 0; $i < $run_length; $i++)
To

Code: Select all

for($i = 0; $i < $run_length; $i+3)
Maybe you will have to do more adaptations, but I think it's ok like that.
