ems_autorun ignores --clean value

Post by voodoomatz » Sun Oct 12, 2014 7:47 am

When running ems_autorun the --clean parameter as well as the CLEAN = <i> configuration seem to be ignored.

I want to link wpsprd and wrfprd to a different harddrive.

Code: Select all

drwxr-xr-x 7 me me  12K Oct 12 07:23 ./
drwxr-xr-x 5 me me  4.0K Oct 11 08:00 ../
drwxrwxr-x 5 me me  4.0K Oct  8 08:30 conf/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 me me  25 Oct 12 07:23 ems_autorun -> ../../strc/ems_autorun.pl*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 me me  22 Oct 12 07:23 ems_post -> ../../strc/ems_post.pl*
drwxr-xr-x 2 me me  4.0K Oct 12 07:23 emsprd/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 me me  22 Oct 12 07:23 ems_prep -> ../../strc/ems_prep.pl*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 me me  21 Oct 12 07:23 ems_run -> ../../strc/ems_run.pl*
drwxr-xr-x 2 me me  4.0K Oct 12 05:23 grib/
drwxr-xr-x 2 me me  4.0K Oct 12 07:23 log/
drwxr-xr-x 2 me me  4.0K Oct 11 05:18 static/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 me me  29 Oct 12 07:23 wpsprd -> /media/tmphdd/domain/wpsprd/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 me me  29 Oct 12 07:23 wrfprd -> /media/tmphdd/domain/wrfprd/
As to be expected a ems_clean --level 3 deletes the two links and recreates wpsprd and wrfprd as sub-directories. A ems_clean --level 0 leaves the links untouched and returns the above.

In ems_autorun.conf it reads:
Set CLEAN to the desired level of clearing/scouring that is completed prior
to running your simulation. The various integer values are the same as those
used in the ems_clean routine so you should consult "ems_clean --help" for more
information as to what is done at each level.
However, if I run configure CLEAN = 0 in <domain>/conf/ems_auto/ems_autorun.conf or if I execute ems_autorun --clean 0 or ems_autorun --noclean my two links get removed and replaced with the two sub-directories. This should not be the case!!

This implies that --clean <i> or CLEAN = <i> is not working properly. Has anybody else had that issue?
How can I avoid my two links being replaced when running ems_autorun?
