I have not seen any new install files from robert, would this still work? http://www.meteoadriatic.net/pub/wrf/ems_install.pl.gz

I am up and running! Thank you again for the help. One more question - what is the earliest reasonable time that the .25ptiles are available on Roberts' servers? I need to try and shave off 10 minutes for my output availability so as to be on time for the TAF forecasts.

Just go on and test and see. I don't know; in fact I never force runs to start as soon as possible, because I always do expect that unplanned delays can happen because of zillion reasons, so I always start runs little bit later. If you really need to do forecast faster, just use previous GFS cycle.
