Can someone mention what the warning about using "--cycle" in the docs means?
"Important: This flag is not to be used for real-time modeling purposes!"
In the same section of the docs, it mentions using cycle for operational forecasts:
"For an operational forecast model, this is often the 00-hour
time of that run. For an analysis system, the cycle time typically identifies the hour
at which the dataset is valid. NOTE: not for use with real-time forecast
applications!"
So what is the warning concerning "real-time modeling purposes"? What is Robert getting at?
