Install fails due to not allowed directory-name

Post by weatherc »

Hi guys and gals,

Tryed to install UEMS and it fails on file wrf.geog_orogwd.tbz because that data contais not allowed directory-name "con".
This on a Linux Mint 20.3 machine. A quick googllng gived that name are widely not allowed, ie on windozes too.

42 : UEMS wrf.geog_orogwd.tbz - Downloaded

Command: tar -xjf /media/henrik/Omat/uems/packages/wrf.geog_orogwd.tbz -C /media/henrik/Omat/uems

tar -xjf /media/henrik/Omat/uems/packages/wrf.geog_orogwd.tbz -C /media/henrik/Omat/uems
tar: data/geog/orogwd_2deg/con: Cannot mkdir: Invalid argument
tar: data/geog/orogwd_2deg/con: Cannot mkdir: Invalid argument
tar: data/geog/orogwd_2deg/con/index: Cannot open: No such file or directory

When tryed to create that directory manually (its a laptop just for testing) was the responce "The filename "con" is not allowed".

Any ideas?

I have dropped an email to Robert about this too.

Cheers
