Thanks a lot!

If you want to run dwiz remote, you need some kind of graphical remote access tool.

Try NX Server and NX Client (client is available for Windows, also):
http://www.nomachine.com/

You can aviod that in two ways:
1) create domains locally on your (linux) desktop and transfer "static" directory on the server, or
2) use ems_domain.pl instead of dwiz on server.

Thanks meteoadriatic excellent idea!

I have one more question...

Is possible to use the dwiz from 3.2.1.5.45.beta version in wrf-ems v3.1.1.5.1?

Thanks!

Hi meteoadriatic!

It seems that the dwiz from wrf-ems v3.2.x beta works fine on wrf-ems v3.1.x, but I get this error when I try to localize the domain:

Code: Select all

/home/wems/wrfems/runs/Test/static/geogrid.log is Not Found;
	***CANNOT continue request***
	Attempt number 1 to find and read geogrid.log

/home/wems/wrfems/runs/Test/static/geogrid.log is Not Found;
	***CANNOT continue request***
	Attempt number 2 to find and read geogrid.log

/home/wems/wrfems/runs/Test/static/geogrid.log is Not Found;
	***CANNOT continue request***
	Attempt number 3 to find and read geogrid.log

 After three attempts to find geogrid.log ...now giving up.

And to get it work I have to run this command to localize the domain:

Code: Select all

ems_domain.pl --locdom Test
I had the same error when I tested the wrf-ems v3.2.x beta (fully installed), and In that moment I thought that that version had an error.

Do you know what is happening?

Thanks a lot for your big help!

This is what I use for creating my domains, or, I just run geogrid binary by hand in domain static directory (after editing namelist.wps), it's that simple. I never use any dwiz stuff.
