Files missing after running domain wizard

Post by JMeans » Wed Jan 16, 2013 7:45 am

I'm wondering if this is a "feature" that I don't know about, and if it is, I'd like to determine how to shut it off. I ran a simulation and then after it had run, I went back into domain wizard to look at the domain that I had run. I did not make changes and save anything. After doing this, i went back to the runs directory and found that many of the files were missing. The grib files that I had used for initialization were gone, as were the output files. Is there a reason this happened (were the two things connected?) ? If they were, I'd sure like to keep this from happening again.

Hello,

This is because domain cleaning is turned on.

If you use autorun, go into domain conf directory, file ems_autorun.conf and set CLEAN = 0.

Thanks, I didn't realize domain wizard had any involvement with that.
