Updated software for post processing

Post by lcana »

Hi all,
I'd like to know how are you doing your post processing. NCL, RIP and Grads have stoped the development of updated versions and it's difficult to get decent outputs with the current OS (I'm using Ubuntu 22 and it's impossible to get running Grads, for example. Lots of libraries deprecated...)

Regards,

Luis

Hello luis, unfortunately I confirm, for example by installing uems on new versions of debian, ubuntu etc you get errors in the libraries, difficult to solve.

But if you have a backup of the "grads" folder present in uems backup that worked for you in other versions of uems or linux, you can simply paste it into the new uems installation also in ubuntu 22 and it will work fine. I did that and I have no problem.

If instead I try to install grads from 0, alas it's a real problem, bugs don't end easily.
