strange values extracted with grads

It has nothing to do with wrf version but with your scripts.

Also I think it's a problem in your script.
them have modified from the working version???

just one question:
when you change version of wrf
you create a new domain or copy it from the old version???

create always a new domain
It does not happen "always" but often the copy of the domain due to some problem in different version.

Guys I'm doing a run on Italy with both core nmm that arw at 9km, then I will also plot with grads and I pull the data.

I post everything here around 14.00 so you see what can be the problem

hello Antonix

I've used both scripts and both give the same data extracted. with regard to the domains I have tried to recreate them, using and not using Modis, but nothing.

I will post something clearer to study with you a possible solution

if you can plot the data as a map, and you can not extract them with txt, then the problem is in your script.
I had a similar problem and it was the fault of the localization domain.
Make a simple domain (no nesting, no modis). not change physical settings.
test to see if it works.
(ems_domain --newdom aaa --core arw
go in to domain folder and type
ems_domain --localize).
if you have other problems is the fault of your script.
ps. what is the size of your grib file?
use the right precautions for large files?

ok
the error is in your script.
I repeat: you can plot a map of precipitation??

okay...summarizing
1) your model works
2) if you are using screen viewing grads work well.
3) the map makes
4) in the txt extracts all the values except rain.
I think the problem is in your script.
or in some mystery...for example one mystery is:

why in your script uses

'd apcpsfc'
regel = sublin(result,9)
res_apcp=subwrd(regel,4)

and not

'd ACPCPaccsfc'
regel = sublin(result,9)
res_apcp=subwrd(regel,4)

???

Antonix In fact, it is quite a mystery :/

Yes I put ACPCPaccsfc as a variable but nothing!

Now I try to use the script by Cory and I let you know the result
